History
In 1880, H&R became the sole American licensee for the manufacture of English Anson & Deeley double-barrel boxlock shotguns. Between 1882 and 1885, approximately 3,500 of these quality shotguns were manufactured in various grades. This represented H&R's brief foray into premium double-barrel production before they focused on their bread-and-butter single-shot designs.
