Remington Arms Company, LLC

America's oldest gunmaker, producing trusted ammunition for over 200 years of shooting sports heritage.

Country: United States
Founded: 1816

History

Established in 1816 by Eliphalet Remington in Ilion, New York, Remington is America's oldest gunmaker. The ammunition division has been a leader in innovation for over a century, introducing legendary loads like the Nitro Express and pioneering plastic wad technology. Despite bankruptcy and ownership changes, Remington ammunition (now part of the Czechoslovak Group through Vista Outdoor acquisition in 2024) continues production at its facility in Lonoke, Arkansas. Remington's STS (Shooting Tournament Superior) and Nitro 27 loads are trusted by competitive shooters, while Gun Club provides value for recreational shooters. The brand represents over 200 years of American firearms heritage.
