History

Nikko Firearms Company was a line of firearms manufactured by the Kodensha plant in Tochigi, Japan between 1958 and 1989. Kodensha first manufactured under the Nikko name in April 1955, with exports beginning August 1958. Known for over/under shotguns including the famous Nikko Shadow Trap model, as well as original folding-type shotguns. Imported to USA by Tradewinds of Tacoma, Washington. Nikko Limited also produced Golden Eagle shotguns. Represented quality Japanese firearms manufacturing during the mid-20th century.
