Stevens Model 350
Modern Chinese-made budget pump-action, Ithaca 37 clone with bottom ejection; newest rendition of century-old pump lineage (under $300 new).
History
Model 350 represents newest rendition of Stevens pump line that began with Model 520 first offered 1904, creating direct lineage spanning over a century. Both Stevens pump shotgun line and Ithaca 37 share common ancestor in John M. Browning's original designs. In 1927, Stevens (owned by Savage Arms) debuted Model 620 with cosmetically improved exterior while retaining most 520 action mechanics. Modern Stevens 350 Security is essentially Chinese-manufactured clone of Ithaca 37, brought to market by Savage under Stevens brand name as budget home defense pump-action shotgun. Brings Browning's century-old design into modern era with updated materials and manufacturing while maintaining bottom-ejection feature that made design ambidextrous. Bottom feed and bottom ejection make it truly ambidextrous - ejected shells drop at shooter's feet rather than to side. Represents over 110 years of continuous evolution of Browning's original design concept.
