AH Fox Sterlingworth
Fox's entry-level model and most popular production gun for working hunters.
History
Introduced in 1910, the Sterlingworth was Fox's entry-level model and became the most popular Fox production gun. Represented affordable quality for working hunters with simplified engraving and less select wood than higher grades, but maintained Fox's reputation for reliability and shooting performance. Available in 12 gauge (1910), 20 gauge (1912), and 16 gauge (1916). Represents the most commonly found Fox shotgun today. Production continued from 1910 through 1942 under A.H. Fox Gun Company and then under Savage ownership after 1929.
