History
Parker Brothers produced approximately 242,000 guns from 1867-1942, representing America's finest side-by-side manufacturer. The comprehensive grade system ranged from Trojan (entry level) to A1 Special (ultimate grade with finest engraving and materials). Grades denoted by letters: Trojan, VH, PH, GH, DH, CH, BH, AH, AAH, A1 Special. 'E' suffix indicated ejectors vs. extractors. Known for exceptional quality, fit, and finish. Company acquired by Remington in 1934 and phased out in 1942. Highly collectible today with prices reflecting grade and condition. Available in gauges from 8 to .410 bore. Featured exposed hammers until 1888, then transitioned to hammerless design.
