Sig Sauer SL5
Modern Italian-made inertia semi-auto featuring Benelli-style action for waterfowl and turkey hunting.
History
Introduced in the late 2010s, the SL5 represents Sig Sauer's entry into the shotgun market. Manufactured by Italian gunmaker Breda (not in Sig's German or US facilities), the SL5 uses an inertia-operated system similar to Benelli. Named '2009 Shotgun of the Year' by American Rifleman. Features aluminum receiver with various finishes, uses Benelli Crio Plus choke system, and ErgoFit Inlay shim system for stock adjustment. Available in Waterfowl (26"/28"/30" barrels), Turkey (18.5" barrel, optics-ready), and Standard/Hunting variants. Represents Sig Sauer's modern take on inertia semi-automatic shotguns.
