History
Launched in 1987 as the sporting version of the competition-focused 682, the 686 brought Beretta's advanced technology to hunters and sporting clays shooters. The 686 series expanded to include dozens of variants including the Silver Pigeon I-V, Onyx, and specialized Sporting models. The platform proved extraordinarily successful, becoming one of Beretta's best-selling shotgun lines with over 35 years of continuous production.
