The Merkel 40E represents the company's first new shotgun in nearly a decade. At its heart is the reliable Anson & Deeley boxlock action, strengthened by a Greener cross-bolt locking mechanism and double under-lump locking lugs. The 40E makes premium German gunmaking more accessible without the hand engraving and rich finish of the classic 47E.
