Squad etiquette question - how to handle a shooter who's constantly rushing everyone?

Been shooting NSCA registered shoots for years, but last weekend at our state championship I got paired with a guy who was pushing the pace way too hard. He'd call for the bird before the previous shooter was even done, kept tapping his foot impatiently, and basically made everyone anxious. Shooting my Browning Citori 725 with Briley chokes, and I know I missed a few on the last station because I felt rushed. Anyone else dealt with this?

Yeah, that's tough - I've seen it happen at bigger shoots where some folks get too focused on their own game. Next time, I'd try pulling them aside between stations and just say something like 'Hey, mind if we slow it down a bit? I'm trying to get my routine right.' Most decent shooters will back off if you're polite about it. If that doesn't work, you could mention it to the shoot director during a break - they don't want anyone feeling rushed either. What station was giving you the most trouble with the rushed pace?
