First registered NSCA shoot coming up - what should I expect?

I've been shooting sporting clays casually at my local club for about 6 months and signed up for my first NSCA registered shoot next weekend. I'm a bit nervous about the process. I shoot a Beretta A300 with a modified choke, usually using Federal Top Gun 1-1/8oz #8 shot. What's the flow like at these events?

First off, welcome to registered shoots! Don't sweat it too much - everyone was new once. You'll check in at registration, get your scorecard, and they'll assign you to a squad (usually 4-6 shooters). The squad moves together through the 10-15 stations, each with different target presentations - expect some crossing shots, quartering birds, maybe a rabbit target or two. Your Beretta setup sounds perfect for a beginner event. Just remember to keep your gun open and action clear when moving between stations. What club are you shooting at? Some have trickier terrain than others.
