First NSCA registered shoot coming up - what should I expect?
I've been shooting sporting clays casually at my local club for about 6 months and just signed up for my first NSCA registered shoot next month. I shoot a Beretta A400 Xcel with an Improved Cylinder choke and Federal Top Gun 1-1/8 oz #8 loads. Honestly feeling a bit nervous about the whole process - how early should I arrive, what's the check-in like, and what do I need to bring besides my gun and shells?

Welcome to registered shoots! First off, don't stress - everyone was new once. Plan to arrive at least an hour before your squad time to check in, get your scorecard, and walk a few stations. Bring your NSCA card (or join at registration), ear/eye protection, a shell pouch, and maybe a small stool for waiting between stations. The check-in is usually straightforward - just give your name, pay any fees, and they'll assign you a squad. Most importantly, relax and enjoy it - the atmosphere is way more supportive than you might think. What club is hosting your shoot?
