My head keeps coming up on station 8 low house targets
Just started sporting clays a few months ago with my Browning Citori 12ga. I'm fine on most stations, but on station 8 low house quartering-aways at about 35 yards, I keep lifting my head to see if I hit it. I'm using a modified choke and 1oz #8 loads. It's driving me nuts because I know I'm doing it but can't seem to stop.

Hey, welcome to the club - we've all been there! That head lift is super common, especially on longer targets where you're anxious to see results. Try this: focus on keeping your cheek welded to the stock through the entire follow-through. Don't worry about seeing the break - trust your mount and swing. If you're really struggling, some shooters find it helps to consciously say 'stay down' in their head during the shot. What's your pre-shot routine look like on that station?
