Struggling with consistency on long crossers at FITASC Compak - is it my lead or my timing?

Been shooting FITASC Compak for a couple seasons now, and I keep dropping the same target - that long left-to-right crosser on Station 3, usually around 35 yards. I'm shooting a Beretta 686 Silver Pigeon with an Improved Cylinder choke, using Federal Top Gun 1-1/8oz #8 at 1200fps. I'm using pull-away lead, but sometimes I feel like I'm stopping the gun or rushing the shot. Anyone else battle this specific target?

That's a classic tough bird! I shoot a lot of FITASC too, and that Station 3 crosser is a real test. First, check your foot position - if you're not set up with enough angle to the trap house, you'll run out of gun swing. For pull-away at that distance, I'd be thinking 4-5 feet of lead, but the key is maintaining swing speed through the shot. Try focusing on the target's front edge and keeping your head down - I've found most misses on that target come from lifting to see the result. What's your pre-shot routine look like for that station?
