Struggling with consistent trigger timing on long crossers at FITASC Compak
Been shooting FITASC Compak for a few years now, but I keep dropping the second target on those long left-to-right crossers at Station 3. I'm shooting a Browning 725 with a 30" barrel, IC choke, and 1-1/8 oz of 7.5s at 1200 fps. I feel like I'm on the bird, but the shot string just seems to fall behind. Is it my timing or am I misjudging the lead?

That's a classic timing issue, especially with that setup. The 725 is a bit slower to swing than some guns, and with IC choke you need to be dead on. For those long crossers, try focusing on your front foot - make sure you're fully committed to the swing before you even think about the trigger. A lot of us get caught 'measuring' the lead instead of reacting. Have you tried a slightly faster load, like Federal's Top Gun at 1300 fps, to see if that helps your timing feel more natural?
