Struggling with consistent lead on crossing targets at 35 yards
Been shooting for about 2 years, mostly sporting clays. My Browning Citori 725 with an Improved Cylinder choke handles the close stuff fine, but I keep missing long crossing shots at the 35-yard mark. I'm using Federal Top Gun 1-1/8oz #8 shot at 1200fps. I think I'm stopping my swing when I pull the trigger.

That's a classic issue - stopping the gun is super common on those longer crossing shots. Try focusing on maintaining your swing through the target, almost like you're going to shoot a foot in front of it. The sustained lead method works well here - pick up the target early, establish your lead, and keep everything moving smoothly. What's your foot position like on those stations? Sometimes opening up your stance a bit more helps maintain that follow-through. Have you tried practicing with just the swing-through motion without actually shooting to build the muscle memory?
