Struggling with consistent trigger timing on long crossers at FITASC Compak

Been shooting FITASC Compak for a couple seasons now and my nemesis is the long, fast crosser from Station 3. I'm using a Browning 725 with a Modified choke, shooting 1-1/8 oz of #8 at 1200 fps. I feel like I see the lead, mount is solid, but I'm either pulling the trigger too early and shooting in front, or hesitating and shooting behind. It's costing me targets.

That's a classic timing trap on that presentation. I shoot a Beretta 694 and had the same issue. Try focusing on your footwork first - make sure you're fully committed to the swing before you even call for the target. For that specific shot, I stopped trying to 'measure' the lead visually and switched to a pure pull-away method. Start your gun just behind the target, accelerate through, and the trigger press should happen almost as a reaction to your swing acceleration, not a separate thought. Are you pre-mounting or shooting from a low gun start? That can change the whole rhythm.
