Struggling with consistent trigger timing on long crossers at FITASC Compak

Been shooting FITASC Compak for a couple seasons now and my nemesis is the long left-to-right crosser on Station 3. I'm using a Browning 725 with 1oz #8 loads at 1200fps, IC choke. I feel like I see the lead, mount is good, but my shot is either behind or I stop the gun. Tried sustained lead and pull-away, both feel off. Anyone else battle this specific timing?

That's a classic tough bird! I shoot a Beretta 694 and found that on those long crossers, especially with an IC choke, you're giving yourself zero margin for error on timing. Try this: focus on the front edge of the target and commit to swinging through it. Don't think 'lead' - think 'maintain swing speed and break the shot when it feels right.' The gun should keep moving after the shot. What's your foot position like on that station? If you're too square to the trap, it makes maintaining swing speed way harder.
