Just got a Browning Citori 725 Sporting - factory chokes or upgrade to Briley?
Been shooting my new Citori 725 Sporting for about a month now, mostly at my local club's sporting clays course. I'm using the factory flush chokes that came with it (IC, M, IM) and Federal Top Gun 1-1/8oz #8 loads. I'm hitting most targets but struggling with those long crossers on stations 5 and 6. Wondering if upgrading to Briley extended chokes would make a noticeable difference or if I should just stick with what I have and keep practicing.

Congrats on the 725 - great gun! Honestly, at your stage, I'd stick with the factory chokes for a while longer. Those Browning Invector-DS chokes are actually pretty decent. For those long crossers, try tightening up to IM or even Full and really focus on your lead - you might be surprised. If you do decide to upgrade later, Briley makes excellent tubes (their extended Sporting series is popular), but I'd give yourself another 500-1000 rounds with what you have first. What distances are those crossers at your club - are we talking 35-40 yards?
