Picking a choke for sporting clays - Muller vs. Kicks?

Been shooting a Beretta A400 Xcel for about 2 years now, mostly at my local club's sporting clays course. I've been using the factory chokes (IC and M) with 1-1/8 oz of #8 shot at 1200 fps. I'm starting to shoot more tournaments and want to tighten up my pattern for those longer crossers and quartering targets, especially on stations 5-8. I've heard great things about both Muller and Kicks aftermarket tubes. Anyone have experience comparing them for sporting clays?

Good question - I ran a similar setup for years. For sporting clays, I'd lean toward Muller. Their U2 (Light Modified) and U3 (Modified) tubes are fantastic for the variety of targets you'll see. They seem to give a more consistent pattern with less deformation than my factory Beretta tubes, especially with the lighter target loads you're using. I've found the Kicks tubes to be excellent too, but they pattern a bit tighter for their marked constriction in my experience - a Kicks Modified might perform more like a Full with some loads. What's the longest true pair you're struggling with on those later stations?
