Picking a choke for sporting clays - Muller vs. Kicks?
I've been shooting sporting clays for about 2 years with my Browning Citori 725. I've been using the factory chokes (usually IC and Mod) but want to step up my game. I'm looking at Muller and Kicks chokes for more consistent patterns. Anyone have experience with both? My typical course has a mix of 20-40 yard targets.

Good question - I've run both brands in my Beretta 686. For sporting clays, I'd lean toward Muller. Their U2 (light modified) and U3 (modified) are fantastic for that 20-40 yard range you mentioned. They seem to give me a slightly more forgiving pattern than my Kicks chokes, which I save for trap. What loads are you shooting? That can make a difference too - I get great results with Muller chokes and Federal Top Gun 7.5 shot at 1200 fps.
