Pilla lens colors for late afternoon sporting clays - what's your go-to?
Been shooting a lot of sporting clays lately, mostly in the late afternoon when the light gets tricky. I'm using a Beretta 686 Silver Pigeon with factory chokes (usually IC and Mod). I've got a few Pilla lenses but can't decide between the 7HC (yellow) and 26HC (rose) for those low-light, high-contrast situations. Anyone have experience with this?

I shoot a lot of late afternoon sporting too - that's when the light really tests your gear. For that specific lighting, I actually prefer the 26HC rose tint over the 7HC yellow. The rose seems to handle the contrast better when targets are against tree lines or dark backgrounds, which is common on those later stations. I'll use the 7HC more for overcast days or early morning. What specific courses are you shooting? Some of the more open courses might change my recommendation.
