Anyone else notice a difference in pointability between flat and concave ribs on sporting clays guns?

I've been shooting a Browning Citori with a 10mm flat rib for years and just picked up a used Perazzi MX8 with a concave rib. At the club yesterday, I was consistently shooting 2-3 inches high on crossing targets from stations 3 and 4. Same 30" barrels, same 1oz #8 loads at 1200fps. Is this just me needing to adjust, or is there something to the rib profile affecting sight picture?

Good observation - that's not just you. Concave ribs (like on your Perazzi) tend to make you shoot a bit higher because they create a different light reflection and sight plane compared to flat ribs. I had the same issue switching from my Beretta 686 to a Krieghoff K-80. Try consciously lowering your cheek weld slightly or focusing more on the target rather than the rib. What choke are you running in that MX8? Sometimes tightening up from IC to Mod can help compensate until your muscle memory adjusts.
