Just got my first shotgun - a used Browning Citori 12 gauge. What should I check before taking it out?

I'm brand new to sporting clays and picked up this older Citori from a local shop. It seems to cycle okay dry-firing, but I'm not sure what maintenance stuff I should do before hitting the range. I've got some Federal Top Gun target loads to start with.

Great first gun - those Citoris are tanks! Before you shoot, I'd definitely check the choke tubes - make sure they're tight and not cross-threaded. Give the barrels a good cleaning, especially if it's been sitting, and check the firing pins move freely. Also, measure the length of pull to see if it fits you - if it's way off, you might want to look into a pad or adjustment. What's the barrel length on yours?
