Anyone else notice their Perazzi MX8 shoots a bit high with factory chokes?
Been shooting my MX8 for about a year now, mostly sporting clays. I'm consistently breaking targets but notice I'm having to consciously aim low on crossing shots. Using factory flush chokes (IC/M) with 1-1/8 oz #8 loads at 1200 fps. Stock dimensions are standard - 14.5" LOP, 1.5" drop at comb. Wondering if this is just a Perazzi thing or if I need to look at rib height.

Yeah, that's actually pretty common with Perazzis - they tend to have a slightly higher point of impact than some other guns. The factory rib is usually set for about 60/40 pattern distribution. Try switching to a more open choke in the bottom barrel (like Skeet) and see if that helps your crossing shots. Also, check your mount - sometimes a slight head lift can cause that high impact. What distance are you breaking most of those crossing targets at?
