Just started sporting clays and keep missing rabbits - any tips?
I'm brand new to sporting clays and really struggling with the rabbit targets at my local course. I'm using a Beretta A300 with a modified choke and 1-1/8 oz #8 shot. At station 3, the rabbit comes out low and fast, and I just can't seem to connect. I've tried leading it but either shoot behind or over the top.

Rabbits are tricky for everyone at first! The key is to keep your head down on the stock and focus on the target, not the gun. For that low, fast rabbit, try a slightly more aggressive lead than you think - I usually go about 3-4 feet ahead with my Browning Citori. Also, consider switching to an improved cylinder choke for rabbits; it gives you a wider pattern at those close ranges. What distance is that rabbit station at your course?
