Just started sporting clays - what choke should I use for most stations?
I'm brand new to sporting clays and just got a Beretta A300 Outlander. I've been using the modified choke it came with for everything, but I'm seeing other shooters switching chokes between stations. At my local course, I'm struggling with the longer crossers on stations 5 and 6. Should I stick with modified or switch to something else?

Welcome to the sport! For a beginner, modified is actually a great all-around choice - it'll handle most presentations at typical 25-35 yard distances. I'd stick with that for now while you're learning to read targets. Once you're more comfortable, you might want to open up to improved cylinder for closer rabbits or tighten to improved modified for those longer crossers. What's your typical load? If you're shooting 1-1/8 oz of #8 at 1200 fps, that modified choke should break plenty of targets.
