Struggling with consistency on long crossers at my local course
I've been shooting sporting clays for about 5 years and generally do well, but there's this one station at my club that's killing me. It's a true pair with a long left-to-right crosser at about 45 yards and a quartering away bird. I'm using a Browning Citori with IC/Mod chokes and 1-1/8oz #8 loads at 1200fps. I keep hitting the first bird but missing the second consistently.

That's a tough presentation - I've been there. For that true pair, try focusing on your footwork for the second bird. On the quartering away target, you might be rushing because you're worried about the crosser. Set up with your feet pointing more toward where you'll break the second bird, not the first. That way you're already positioned for the follow-up shot. What's your hold point on that crosser?
