Struggling with station 8 high house in American Skeet
Just started shooting American Skeet a few months back and station 8 is killing me, especially the high house bird. I'm using a Beretta A300 with a Skeet choke, shooting 1 oz of #9 shot at 1200 fps. I keep missing behind it. Should I be holding higher or changing my gun mount?

Station 8 high house is tricky for everyone at first! With that A300 and Skeet choke, your setup is fine. Try holding your muzzle about halfway between the high house window and the center stake - that's your visual hold point. The target's already starting to drop by the time you see it, so you need to shoot slightly under where you think it should be. What's your foot position like on that station? Sometimes just opening your stance a bit toward the high house helps with the swing.
