History

Founded in 1889 by Italian gunsmith Amadeo Rossi in Sao Leopoldo, Brazil, Rossi became one of Brazil's largest firearms manufacturers. In 1997, Rossi's firearm manufacturing operations were acquired by Forjas Taurus S.A. (now Taurus Armas), and production was integrated into Taurus facilities while maintaining the Rossi brand. Braztech International imports Rossi firearms into the United States. Today, Rossi is known for budget-friendly single-shot shotguns, lever-action rifles, and innovative designs like the Circuit Judge revolving rifle.
