History

FABARM (Fabbrica Bresciana di Armi - literally 'Arms Manufacturer in Brescia') was launched around 1900 by the Galesi family, one of the great Brescian dynasties. During the first decades of the twentieth century, production focused on side-by-side shotguns and pistols. After WWII, production expanded to over/under shotguns, and in the 1950s they produced compressed air rifles and Flaubert carbines. At the end of the 1960s, FABARM introduced its first semi-automatic, the Goldenmatic. In 1976 the company became simply 'Fabarm' and moved to Travagliato near Brescia. The over/under competition shotguns, including the STL, won several world championships. In 2011 Caesar Guerini acquired controlling interest, and in 2015 became the sole shareholder. Fabarm and Caesar Guerini are now the second largest shotgun manufacturer in Italy. Upon severing business with Benelli in 1998, Heckler & Koch replaced their entire shotgun line with Fabarm products.
